ERG Placement LLC is a lawyer owned legal recruiting and placement firm that prides itself in providing highly professional and individualized recruiting and placement services to the law firms, lawyers and paralegals that we represent. We look for the win-win so a long-term relationship can be created between the firm, the attorneys and the paralegals and legal support staff. We make sure to understand what each party-whether it be the attorney candidate or the firm- is looking to achieve at the conclusion of the process. Whether it’s through established relationships with firms or old fashioned “headhunting” for candidates, we strive to give our clients the best options available. We work with both firms and companies to find the best solution for their in-house legal needs. We primarily operate across the Gulf Coast from Texas to Florida but conduct searches across the country when necessary. We regularly place attorneys in New Orleans, Covington/Mandeville, Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Gulfport, Jackson, Birmingham, Mobile, Tampa, Jacksonville, Ft. Lauderdale, Dallas and Houston. In the last 5 years, we have placed over 285 attorneys so we can produce results.
Miller Engelhardt graduated from Tulane University and University of Alabama Law School. After living and working away from the city for a few years, he moved back to New Orleans and earned a MBA from Tulane University. He has lived in New Orleans for over twenty five years. He spent many years in International Business Development and has made a career of knowing his clients and developing long term business relationships. He has been in legal recruiting since 2016 and has a vast knowledge of the legal community along the Gulf Coast. After working with a national search firm for a few years, he opened ERG Placement LLC in late 2018.
The Process
We very confidentially work with law firm clients and lawyer and paralegal candidates facing the “common” problems inherent in the lateral recruiting process:

Anonymity – We allow lawyers to remain anonymous until they confirm that they are interested in one or more firms and that the interest is mutual, thereby minimizing chances that anyone will learn that the lawyer is “looking”;

Match – We carefully analyze and match lawyer qualifications, experience, and career goals with client needs;

Identify All Possible Firms – We identify firms that we think will be of interest to the lawyer and that would be interested in talking with the lawyer. We then help with arranging interviews.

Assist in Closing The Deal – We help both lawyers and clients expeditiously address the myriad of issues that come up when trying to finalize the lateral move including salary, origination and the whole compensation package.
